De B406-4 is aangepast om te kunnen communiceren met het Master Caution System van Boeing in combinatie met het op de DZUS gemonteerde cockpitbedieningspaneel (onderdeelnr. 453-0161) voor de B737 en is bovendien goedgekeurd voor gebruik op alle modellen van de B747, B757, B767 en B777.

C406-1
De Artex C406-1 is een noodlocatorzender ( ELT ) die is gebouwd om te voldoen aan de strenge eisen van TSO C126 en zelfs de zwaarste veiligheidstests te doorstaan. De C406-1 ELT wordt automatisch geactiveerd tijdens een crash en verzendt een digitaal bericht van 406 MHz naar een wereldwijd netwerk van satellieten, waardoor hulpverleners snel en nauwkeurig kunnen vaststellen waar u bent, maar ook wie u bent. Deze factoren helpen om de ‘zoektocht’ uit ‘zoeken en redden’ te halen en stellen lokale hulpverleners in staat om u gemakkelijker thuis te brengen.

C406-1 HM
The Artex C406-1 HM transmits on all 3 emergency frequencies (121.5/243.0 and 406 MHz). The ELT automatically activates during a crash and transmits the standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz. It also transmits a 406 MHz encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system, which allows for rapid identification and reduces Search and Rescue response time.

C406-N HM
The Artex C406-N HM is a single output emergency locator transmitter (ELT) that contains the latitude/longitude information from the aircraft navigation system. Following long message protocol, the 406 MHz transmitter turns on and transmits an encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system every 50 seconds for 520 milliseconds. During a crash, the ELT automatically activates and transmits the standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz.
